Goals
Bobobox is a pioneer in the smart capsule hotel industry in Indonesia, integrating IoT technology to create a futuristic and convenient lodging experience. While their mobile app provides users with seamless experiences like pod access, booking, and room control, there was a missing piece in their digital ecosystem — a dedicated web presence to showcase their digital product ecosystem.This project aimed to build an informative and engaging product web page that highlights how Bobobox’s digital products integrate into their user experience. The goal was not only to increase awareness about Bobobox’s smart technology but also to educate users about the functionality, features, and environment ecosystem within the Bobobox experience — driving users closer to downloading and using the Bobobox app.
Insights
This project was a great exploration of balancing technology storytelling with hospitality branding. The biggest challenge was translating technical product features (like smart access, IoT integration, and app-controlled experiences) into language and visuals that were friendly, clear, and attractive for everyday users.Through structured content flow and visual storytelling, I learned how important it is to show not just what the technology does, but how it fits into the user’s life. The project reinforced the value of simplifying tech-heavy content into user benefits.Additionally, designing this product web helped me understand the user mindset when they are in the awareness stage — curious, looking for trust signals, wanting to understand the brand promise, and exploring before downloading the app.In the end, this web design became a strategic bridge between marketing, technology, and user education — creating clarity and trust while driving users into the Bobobox digital ecosystem.
